Obedience brings blessings. Exact obedience brings MIRACLES!

First off, I have a story, and it will probably take up most of my email. :) Okay, so our Mission had a goal last week to find 70 new investigators, and because of that on Saturday they wanted us to do an "all day." That basically means you do everything you absolutely can to be out until 9:00. Which can be hard when you don't have appointments and you can't tract. As a companionship we really wanted to do this, even though we didn't have any appointments scheduled for that night. We'd really been praying to find a family to teach, and we felt that there was a family of four waiting for us. So we're trying to do what we can to find them!

We had an exchange that day, and some great things happened! We found a lot of potential! A lady who came to our Pioneer Day Stake Activity wants to learn more! (MIRACLE.) I was really happy for the day. We dropped off the Sister that we had exchanges with (Sister Broderick, Lance and Tyler's cousin! Haha!) And were trying to visit as many people as we could while the sun was still up. We were able to contact X and Y again, which was another miracle in itself! But alas, the sun set and our list of people to visit ran out. Sister Morones said that last time they'd had an all day and it got dark they went street contacting. So we decided that, that is what we'd be doing.

We were about to do this when we got a text from some other Sisters in our area if we'd like to join them for some pie that they'd gotten for dinner. We thought that'd be fun and accepted. But right after we said we'd go I was feeling really guilty. I really wanted to stay out until 9:00, and it was only 8:20. I told Sister Morones how guilty I was feeling. So we decided to keep to our original plan, and do some street contacting. We were driving around our area trying to find a good place to start when we drove by, and saw a man in his garage moving stuff around. Sister Morones said we should go talk to him. I'm not going to lie, I was nervous to go talk to him since by that point it was very dark. But Sister Morones said we should go and be bold. So off we went!

We introduced ourselves, (His name is Z) and he began asking us questions. (I think he thought we were Jehovah's Witnesses :) ) He was so kind, and was asking us some great questions. As we continued to talk he said, "You know what, let me go get my wife." ( The spirit was so strong at this point, I had a little heart attack when he said that! Haha!) He went into the house and got his wife (X), and their little seven year old daughter (Y) came after them. We began to talk with them about prophets, the Book of Mormon, church, and a lot of other seemingly random things. :) Their daughter even asked if we have anything at our church for kids! Why yes, yes we do!! :) And guess what...they said they wanted to learn more, and that they wanted us to come back! Then I asked, "So is Y your only child?" and they said that they had another daughter who was already asleep. They're a family of FOUR!!!! WE FOUND THEM!! We got their number and agreed that we'd meet next week, and when we got back into the car it was exactly 9:00. :) :) Sister Morones and I were in pieces. Haha!

In the MTC they teach that when you're obedient you get blessings, but when you're exactly obedient you see miracles. And I'll tell you what I've learned that for myself. :) No pie is worth a family to teach! What a powerful lesson learned. This applies to all of us! When we are exactly obedient to the commandments that the Lord has given us, we'll be able to see His hand in our lives.

So yeah, it was an awesome week, and there is so much excitement ahead! :) :) :)

As for our investigators, they've been having a hard time progressing. X went out of town again before we could visit him. Y and Z promised that they'd come to church, and then they didn't come. So it's been a hard week, but a week full of miracles. We're going to keep moving forward!
