Well, what a week! Luckily Sister Riley bounced back this
week. Slowly but surely we're getting back into the swing of things. She still
isn't 100%, but we've been able to go out and do work! :) She had a couple of
doctor appointments this week,(one in which they cleaned out her ear, ouch!)
and the medicine finally kicked in. :)
Tuesday we had Zone Conference! It my first one and it was
awesome! We learned about talking to everyone, being a Preach My Gospel
Missionary, working with the wards and the stakes, and what the vision for our
Mission is! It was great. And one of the best parts was, was that it was
combined with Ontario, and the Sisters that are now serving in the area I was
serving in invited X to bear her testimony!!! Unfortunately she didn't get
to, but Sister Ott( She's in Upland now, did I tell you that? So I get to see
her a lot which is AWESOME! And she's a Sister Training Leader! :)) and I
got to talk with her for a while after Zone Conference, and it was pretty much
the best thing ever! I love that girl! I can't wait for you guys to meet her
one day.
The rest of the week was good as well! The ward has given us
quite a large list of people to visit. It's people that haven't been home
taught or visit taught for over three months, and let me tell you it's hard to
track these people down! Haha! A lot of the time I feel like we're on a
wild goose chase. :) But it's been good!
We were also able to meet with Y again this week,
finally, and were able to set another baptism date with her. Unfortunately
though, she didn't come to church, and so we're going to have to push her date
back. :( But it's okay! We're excited for her! She's so sweet, and has a great
desire to follow Christ. She wants to be baptized, since she doesn't really
recall much about when she was baptized as a child. Something that's been hard
for her though is that she had an aneurism a while back and since then her
memory hasn't been very good. So sometime she has a hard time
remembering what we taught her last. We're trying to find a way to help
her with that. Any ideas? :)
This week we tried really hard to talk to everyone that we
saw. Whether we were on the way to appointments, or visiting less actives, and
we definitely saw some miracles. When we are willing to open our mouths, the
Lord puts people in our path. :) There is potential here, and I'm excited to
see where it goes! We're praying to find people that are ready.
Something cool that I studied this week was about confidence
as opposed to doubt. I came across Hebrews 10:33-the end of the chapter Haha! I
really felt like it was an answer to some questions that I had. You should look
it up, and tell me what you think! :)
