Carry On

Well first things first, before I forget, since the mission split we now have two Sister Cooks in the Rancho Cucamonga Mission! Which is awesome, she's great. But, it is now very important for those lovely people who send me letters and stuff to put down that it's to Sister Emily Cook. The mission office has been a little confused with the mail this week because they don't know which Sister Cook to send it to. :) Wouldn't that be funny if I ended up being companions with her one day? Haha!

Well, what a week! Goodness gracious, it's all a blur. We got to go on a couple of exchanges this week, that was great! It really is so nice being companions with a Sister Training Leader because you get to know a bunch of Sisters in the mission that you wouldn't have been able to get to know otherwise. We do exchanges with Sisters all over the mission, so it's a little crazy sometimes, but it's super fun!

We were also able to go on a hike this morning as a zone! (Which is why my email was later than usual) It was fun, but I'm pretty sure it was the first and last time I'll do that one. Haha! It was good hard hike! :) We were climbing over rocks and crossing creeks and all sorts of fun stuff.

This week was a little hard because we pretty much weren't able to meet with any of our investigators...:( X went out of town, and we weren't able to visit with any of the others. So we did some finding, and we did some less active work. :) We had a couple great lessons, one with Y and the other with Z (isn't that a pretty name?). In both lessons we felt inspired to teach about the importance of the Book of Mormon. The spirit was very strong in both of them. I think those lessons were also for me. We were able to teach using some Mormon Messages, which was awesome. We really feel like it helped them. YOU SHOULD WATCH THEM. Watch Elder Holland's testimony of the Book of Mormon (prepare yourself for that one), and one that I can't remember the name of, but it's about a Bishop who lives in England, and his testimony of the Book of Mormon. In both of those lessons I felt the spirit testify to me that the Book of Mormon is true. What a special thing that is. Heavenly Father is willing and ready to tell us the way we should go, and what we need to do to get there. He gave us the Book of Mormon as a witness of His Son. He gave it so that we could know that this church is true. Because if the Book of Mormon is true, then Joseph Smith was a prophet, and we do have living prophets today. What a HAPPY thing that is! And all you have to do is read from it, and pray about it with a sincere and willing heart! It's wonderful. :)

So things are going well. The more that I'm out here the more I realize how blessed we are as members of the church. We have so much, and they really are things you automatically take for granted until you meet people who don't have them in their life. That is why it is so important to share, share, share!
